I would like to take a minute to say THANK YOU to all the FC PUMA players and parents for being patient and understanding while waiting for our new uniforms to arrive.  As most of you know by now,  the manufacture had some production problems which delayed our shipment, and in turn caused a delay in the embroidery schedule.

I am however, happy to say that as of tonight all U11-U14 teams have a complete uniform kit consisting of socks, blue shorts, and both blue and white game shirts. I hope you will all agree that while the delay has been some what frustrating for us all, the finished product looks great! As for the accessory orders, I am expecting all bags, sweatshirts, and coaches’ shirts to be in early next week as they are currently having names embroidered on them. The latest on the warm up jackets and pants is that they will be back from the embroiderer in early December. We will contact everyone and get them distributed as soon as they arrive. On behalf of the FC PUMA Club, please know we are doing everything possible to expedite your orders, and we apologize for any inconvenience this delay may have caused.

The FC PUMA GU11 team raised $1,575 for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society through US Soccer's Kicks for Cancer. Each player completed a soccer homework plan requiring 2000 touches on a soccer ball over a 10 day period. That's 200 juggles, dribbles or shots per day outside of practice and games!! As a thank you for their hard work players received gifts ranging from mini training balls and sak packs to Adidas warm-ups or an autographed soccer ball signed by the 2004 US National Soccer Team! Puma then went on to win the game on penalty kicks 3-1 with keeper Courtney Roberts blocking 2 shots! The FC PUMA girls then moved on to the semifinal match against the Fuller Hamlets. In another hard fought, very physical game, the score was again tied 0-0 at the end of regulation time. In golden goal overtime the Fuller Hamlets scored first to win the match.

The FC Puma U15 Girls coached by Mike Proctor won the U16 Division of the Cape Cod Classic Memorial Day Tournament in dramatic fashion as they beat the South Shore Select U16 girls in penalty kicks.

The girls started off the weekend by defeating the U15 SAC Girls 2-0. On Sunday they won their first game against the U16 Hudson Valley Selects 4-0, and then in what would be a repeat of the finals played South Shore Select to a 0-0 tie. Monday morning they won the semi-final 2-0 against the U16 Andover Elite's, thus earning a birth in the finals and a much anticipated re-match against South Shore Select. In the final the girls played to a 1-1 tie at the end of regulation time which was then followed by ten furious minutes of overtime with FC Puma really pressing for the win, and narrowly missing on several opportunities. With the game now down to PK’s the PUMA girls make 4 out of 5, with our keeper saving two including their fifth and last shot for the victory.

This marks the second time this season that the girls have won a tournament (Virginia Icebreaker) on PKs, and brings our record for the season to 13-2-2. Congratulations ladies on a great effort!

Their only loss of the weekend 4-2 was against FC Greater Boston who they would later beat in the finals 4-1. Overall the team had 14 goals for and only 5 against due to some outstanding team defense. This was a great way for the boys to finish the spring season. Good luck in Division 1 next season!
